Kammi's Code: WIXOSS Watch Order

Updated: Dec 31, 2018

(Poster, WIXOSS, Studio J.C. Staff, Web, 12/30/18)

The WIXOSS (pronounced we-cross) franchise is a Japanese dark-fantasy card game. When the game was adapted to an anime it came with a psychological twist. To have a deck of WIXOSS cards makes you a selector. Once becoming a selector, players have the chance to a wish come true if they win enough games. However, if they lose three their life is taken.

WIXOSS is split into two series: The Selector series, and The Lostorage series. The selector series came out first dating back to Spring 2014. The anime is done by J.C. Staff studio. Here is my recommended order for watching the series.

1. Selector Infected WIXOSS

  • The first season of the Selector Series is a 12 episodes and aired in Spring 2014.

2. Selector Infected WIXOSS: Midoriko-san to Piruruku-tan

  • A three episode special for the first season of WIXOSS.

3. Selector Spread WIXOSS

  • The second season of the Selector Series is 12 episodes and aired in Fall 2014.

4. Selector Destructed WIXOSS

  • A movie recapping Selector Infected WIXOSS and Selector Spread WIXOSS. There are a few additions to the movie like character backstory, but overall is skippable. I do not recommend skipping the series to just watch the movie.

5. Lostorage Incited WIXOSS

  • The first season of the Lostorage series. A 12 episode alternate setting of the Selector series with new characters. The show aired in Fall 2016. Selector Series is not required to watch prior, but helps get a sense of the rules of WIXOSS.

6. Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS: Missing Link

  • A one episode special airing before the second season of Lostorage Series airing in Winter 2018. A transition episode to recap the major plot of Lostorage Incited WIXOSS and prepare for Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS. Somewhat skippable, but it's one episodes...might as well just watch it.

7. Lostorage Conflated WIXOSS

  • The second series of the Lostorage series. The show is 12 episodes and aired in Spring 2018. Without spoiling, the show wrapped up it's major plot points and won't need another season.
